    About This Event

This is one of the 9 races in our BRRC Grand Prix Series. Course begins just north of Sparks Road on the NCR Trail, heads north to Monkton Road, turns back south to Paper Mill Road, then back north to finish at Sparks Road. Registration will begin at 7:00 AM. Entry fees are free to our members, $15 for non-members. Discount will be applied for members at check-out.

The course is smooth and flat, on the historic (since 1832!) NCR trail. Course begins at the Sparks Road crossing of the NCR Trail (https://brrc.com/ncr-trail-torrey-c-brown-trail, Location P6). Parking space is very limited at the trail crossing. There is abundant Free Parking located approximately 0.4 mile walk from the trail, at the abandoned stone school building, at 1036 Sparks Rd., Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152, west of the NCR trail crossing. GPS is 39°32’19.3″N 76°38’39.5″W. Walk down to the trailhead near the Sparks Nature Center at 1207 Sparks Road to find registration and the start line.

This is a low key, no frills race put on by the Baltimore Road Runners Club.  There is no finishers medal or swag. There will be 3 water stops along the course and snacks at the finish line.

We will be awarding prize money for the top three male and female overall finishers – 1st place, $50 – 2nd place, $40 – 3rd place, $30

There will be a 3 1/2 hour cut-off.  You must pass the water stop at Sparks Road (start/finish area) by 9:45am to be allowed to continue. This is approximately a 16 minute/mile pace.

As always, volunteers will be needed on race day. Please email cfieldrn@gmail.com if you are able to volunteer.  The BRRC is a 100% volunteer run organization and we cannot do this without you.
