1:00 pm. Communities In Schools Appalachian Highlands presents the 1st Annual Brighter Paths Trail 5K. This event is also presented by Greendale and Valley Institute Elementary Schools and their school running programs. Starting from the Mendota Community Center and running on the Mendota Trail, this will be the most beautiful run in the area with breathtaking sights of the North Fork of the Holston River. Proceeds will be divided equally between the Mendota Kids Club and St. Jude.
