Join us for the City of Manassas Park’s Fall for the Park 5.5K & Flannel Fest — a celebration of one of our city’s best features: our parks!
Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or simply looking for a fun way to enjoy a fall morning, this race is for you. The 5.5K (approximately 3.42 miles) follows a beautiful, established paved route through Blooms Park, surrounded by fall foliage and nature. Along the way, you'll pass through forests and meadows, alongside streams and train tracks, and cross over bridges. The course offers plenty of scenic views — along with some hills for those looking for a challenge!
Runners and walkers are welcome, and flannel attire is highly encouraged. Why? Because while you're on the course, Flannel Fest will be happening downtown!
Flannel Fest Race Party
Keep the fall fun going at City Hall Parking Lot, where the Manassas Park Farmers Market and Flannel Fest will be happening from 9:00 AM–1:30 PM. Enjoy live music, food trucks, drinks, flannel décor, shopping, and community fun for all!

Getting to the Race
Race day parking is not allowed in Blooms Park. Participants, spectators, and fans should utilize the free parking at the VRE Parking Garage at 120 Park Central Plaza, Manassas Park, VA.
A free shuttle is required to get to Blooms Park. Shuttles will run approximately every 15 minutes between City Hall and Blooms Park, with a ride time of about 5 minutes.
Due to the narrow trail, fans and spectators are welcome at the Blooms Park start/finish area only. Flannel Fest will provide a great place to gather and celebrate before, during and after the race.
Know Before You Go
Blooms Park is beautiful — and the course has some natural challenges! Participants should be prepared for:
Hills: The course includes inclines and declines. Take your time and use caution, especially on downhill sections.
Paved but natural: The trail is paved, but some sections may be uneven or bumpy, with tree roots and other natural features.
Wet conditions: The trail may become slippery when wet.
Trail: The course narrows in some sections, so participants will be released in staggered groups to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Your official race time will be based on when you cross the start/finish line.

Registration Fees:
Price: $35 until October 31st
November 1st – Race Day ($45)
Participants who register by November 1 will receive a long sleeve cotton race shirt. After November 1, shirts will be not be guaranteed.
Packet pickup is Friday, November 13 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Manassas Park Community Center, 99 Adams St. Manassas Park, VA 20111 and Saturday, November 14th from 7:00 am – 8:30 am at City Hall Parking Lot, 100 Park Central Plaza, Manassas Park, VA 20111.
Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers.
Medals awarded to every race participant.
