Lace up your sneakers and get ready to run, walk, or cheer with a whole lot of Southern heart! The very first Key to a Cure 5K is ready to make its debut in true Alabamian fashion as this brand new race tradition begins. Under our motto, "Caring—Our Way of Life," this event is all about coming together, lifting each other up, and stepping out to create a brighter future for tomorrow.

The Bright Futures 5k and Fun Run is brand-new, and we are racing to make a difference. Every single dollar raised goes straight to Children’s of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham to support vital research, daily operations, and most importantly, the children.
While the cause is close to our hearts, we’ve also designed an unforgettable day of celebration for you and your family!

Swag: T-shirt included in 5K registration
Awards: 1st-3rd male and female in each division (15 and under, 15 to 30, 31 to 50, and 50 and over)
Packet Pickup: November 13th; location to be determined soon. Race day pickup begins at 6 AM at the Sparkman Civic Center
All proceeds from this event will directly benefit Children’s of Alabama hospital in Birmingham to support their ongoing operations and medical services, helping us make Alabama a better place for children in need. We would be extremely grateful for your support in this initiative! If you would like to donate extra towards this cause you will be prompted in registration along with in person donation opportunities.
