BUCK CANCER - Run Rodeo Ten Rounds. One Fight. Saddle up for a day of miles, meaning, and a whole lot of heart
Buck Cancer brings runners and walkers together for a western-themed event with a powerful purpose: standing together against all cancers.
With a new 5K starting every hour for ten hours, you can join us for one round, tackle the full ultra yourself, or gather a team of five to share the ten-round challenge!
Run in honor of someone you love. Walk beside a survivor. Remember someone you miss. Whatever brings you to the starting line, your miles will carry meaning.

Pick Your Challenge:
The 5K: Kick Up Some Hope and Run or Walk the first 5K of the morning and be part of a day filled with community, encouragement, and purpose.
The Individual Ultra: Go All Ten Rounds and take on one 5K every hour for ten hours. That’s 50K—approximately 31.1 miles—of grit and determination. Finish each round, catch your breath, and saddle up again!
The Team Ultra: Round Up Your Posse and gather a team of up to five to tackle the ten rounds together. Share the miles, cheer each other on, and keep your crew moving toward a combined 50K finish. Every round brings your team closer to the goal.
How It Works:
Each hour marks the start of another “round”—a 5K.
Individual ultra participants take on all ten rounds themselves. Teams of up to five share the ten rounds across their crew. One round is 3.1 miles. Ten rounds add up to 50K. Whether you go solo or share the challenge, every round is a reason to keep moving.
Boots for the 5K. Buckles for the Ultra
The 5K Cowboy Boot Medal to kick up some hope! Fnish the 5K and earn a cowboy boot medal with a spur that spins to celebrate your miles and the reason behind them.
The Ultra Belt Buckle Complete all ten 5Ks yourself or as a team and earn a Buck Cancer Ultra Finisher Belt Buckle—a reminder of every round, every start, and every mile you conquered.
All Cancers. One Fight. Cancer has touched far too many of our families, friendships, and communities. Buck Cancer creates a place to come together—to celebrate survivors, honor those facing cancer, remember loved ones, and turn our determination into action.
Every participant belongs. Every story matters. Whether you complete one round, all ten, or share the challenge with your team, you’re part of something bigger.
Bring Your Crew Gather your running buddies, rally your family, and bring your cheering section. Walk your first 5K, challenge yourself to a solo ultra, or round up five friends for a team effort you’ll remember long after the final round.
One community. Ten rounds. A whole lot of grit. Let’s Buck Cancer—together.
