Light up your morning in the Christmas City!
Join Kearney County Health Services on Saturday, December 5, 2026, for a festive, pre-sunrise glow stick 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run around beautiful downtown Minden, Nebraska!
The 1 mile fun run will be raced as three laps around the inside courthouse square. Kids will have the option to run 1 lap (.33 miles), 2 laps (.66 miles) or 3 laps (1mile)!
Experience the magic of the Christmas City before the sun comes up as you run or walk beneath the glow of Minden's beautiful Christmas lights surrounding the historic Kearney County Courthouse. We'll have glow sticks to help light the way and plenty of holiday cheer to make this a memorable morning for the whole family!
Everyone is welcome to join the festivities. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate!

Best of all, all proceeds will support Minden's 150th Anniversary Celebration!

Registration 5K: $20 1 Mile Fun Run with T-Shirt: $15 Kids' 1 Mile Fun Run (No T-Shirt): FREE T-Shirt Deadline: Thursday, November 19
Register by November 19 to secure your event T-shirt! Registration will remain open after this date, but T-shirts will not be guaranteed.
And don't forget to show off your Christmas spirit! Break out your Santa hats, reindeer antlers, festive sweaters and holiday attire to make the morning even more merry and bright! Bundle up, grab your glow sticks and join us for a morning of movement, community spirit and Christmas magic in Minden!
