Get ready to race down Ocean Boulevard! Sleigh racing is coming to Myrtle Beach on Saturday, Dec. 12, as part of the first-ever Merry Myrtle Festival!
Gather your team of four, bring your holiday spirit and get ready for some festive competition! Teams will race down Ocean Boulevard between Ninth and 10th avenues North, navigating a holiday-themed obstacle course featuring Christmas trees and other festive elements. Teams will compete in heats, with winners advancing toward the championship race.
And we're forecasting a 100% chance of SNOW during the sleigh races! Enjoy s'mores, cozy up around the firepits and don't miss a special live appearance and meet-and-greet with Hangman Hal!
Participants are encouraged to get creative! Dress in costume, come up with a fun team theme and show off your holiday spirit.
The City of Myrtle Beach will provide the sleighs. All you need to bring is your team and a little holiday cheer!
