PACX is wrapping up. Cross season doesn't have to.
We're cutting the FSX/Pineapple CX course down to a 2.5–3 minute lap and running track-style keirin heats on it. An e-bike pacer leads lap 1, then pulls off, and it's a full-gas sprint to move on.
Lose your first heat? Cool. You ride again. Nobody's driving out here for one race and a sad gas station sandwich.
HOW IT WORKS
Every heat: Line up behind the e-bike pacer. Nobody passes it. When it pulls off, it's on. Round 1 (2 laps): The top 1–2 go straight to the Semis. Everyone else heads to Second Chance. Second Chance (2 laps): The top 2 move on. We split up Round 1 heat-mates so it's a fresh fight. Semis (2 laps): The top 3 go to the Major Final. The rest go to the Minor Final. Finals (4 laps): Major Final for places 1–6, Minor Final for places 7–12. Breaks between rounds so your legs come back. Mostly.
ENTRY Free. Bring a 6-pack: beer, cookies, whatever you'd actually want to win. We pool it all and split the haul at the end.
WHY YOU NEED TO REGISTER We need 24 riders by November 20 to make this happen. Your signup is how we know if we've got a tournament, so don't be the reason we don't. Heat sizes and final numbers get locked in once we know who's in.
THE FINE PRINT This is a proof of concept. If it wraps early, we'll make up something else dumb and fun. We want it worth the trip.
