November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness month, and for the past 15 years, we have kicked it off with a 5K Walk/Run to raise awareness and support for Alzheimer's in our community.
This year, join us for the 16th annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run!
When: Saturday, November 7, 2026 Where: Morehead Conference Center Race Time: 9:00 AM (New Start Time in 2026!)
We hope you can join us for a fun morning, including a health fair, refreshments, and education on Alzheimer's Disease. A more detailed agenda will be posted soon!
This special event raises awareness for Alzheimer’s disease, with all proceeds benefiting the Sisters of Notre Dame Eastern Kentucky Foundation Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Fund. Every dollar stays right here in our service region to support local families and caregivers.

Donate directly to the cause. Share a photo of a loved one to be honored in our slideshow presentation. Volunteer – we need extra hands this year! Local businesses can sponsor the event and have their logo featured on the back of our race shirts!
This year's race packets will include a commemorative shirt and race bib.
Packet pickup will be available on Friday, Nov 6th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Morehead Conference Center. Make your race morning less stressful and pick up your packet on Friday! Packets may also be picked up on race morning starting at 7:30 am in the same location.
