    About This Event

    The District 27 Council PTA 5K Run /Walk -- 1 Mile Run -- Kids’ Dash is a family and community event to promote fitness for all age groups!  The 5K course and the 1 Mile course are USATF certified and the race will be professionally timed. Not only are we using chip timing again this year,  our 5K course is one loop AND the Kids' 1 Mile race is entirely in the park!

    NEW THIS YEAR – 100M Kid's Dash: Young athletes kindergarten age and younger can sprint a 100-meter dash and experience the thrill of crossing under the official race arch!

    This event will raise money for the Rohrabaugh Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to outstanding Glenbrook North High School seniors who are graduates of Wood Oaks Jr. High School.

    AFTER AUGUST 31st (at 12:00am on 9/1/26 prices will increase and participants are not guaranteed a t-shirt), REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED HOWEVER T-SHIRTS WILL NO LONGER BE GUARANTEED. Please register early if you want a T-shirt!

    Packet Pick-up at Wood Oaks Junior High School (specific location details to be announced closer to the dates): Thursday, September 24th from 4-6pm Friday, September 25th from 2-6pm  Saturday, September 26th from 6:30-7:45am
