The Hero Hustle was created in 2016 as a way to raise money to help support the men and women of the Delaware County fire, ambulance, and law enforcement departments. To date, through the participation of our athletes and the generous contributions of our sponsors, the Hero Hustle has been able to give almost $100,000 to the people that are always there to save, serve and protect us.

The Hero Hustle welcomes all athletes of all abilities. The goal is to get active, have a good time, and raise money for a good cause! The race is a sprint distance triathlon comprised of a 400yd swim, a 16 mile bike ride, and a 5K run to wrap it up. The swim course will be held in Schram Pond. The bike course is out on a public highway and has rolling hills for most of the course. The run course will be mostly flat, with athletes only having to tackle one hill...at least you get to turn around and run back down it though! The duathlon replaces the swim with a one mile run around Schram Pond followed by the same 16 mile bike ride and 5K.

Athletes are able to do the triathlon as an individual or in a 2-3 person team. Duathlon is an individual event.

The entry fee will get each athlete their race entry, a race t-shirt, a finisher award, and a timing chip.
