2027 RACE PACKET PICK UP IS FRIDAY, JUNE 4TH FROM 3:00 - 8:00 PM AT THE HENRIETTA RECREATION CENTER ON CALKINS ROAD (right next to Veterans Memorial Park).
The Rush-Henrietta Athletic Association, in conjunction with the Rush-Henrietta Area Food Terminal (RHAFT) and the Town of Henrietta Recreation Department, invite you to participate in the 10th annual Rush-Henrietta Kicking Hunger 5K in Henrietta, NY. The 2027 race will provide participants with two options - a live event on Saturday, June 5th (8 am start) or a virtual event the weekend of Friday, June 4th to Sunday, June 6th.
The purpose of this race will continue to focus on bringing awareness and providing tangible solutions to the issue of hunger in our community, as well as continuing the tradition of promoting exercise and family-centered events in our town. Since 2018, the race has raised over $63,000 and also allowed for RHAFT to collect hundreds of non-perishable food items. Race proceeds have directly impacted our local community by helping to fund both the Rush-Henrietta Central School District (RHCSD) Kicking Hunger Summer Food Program and BackPack Program, as well as providing support for community food and student-centered programs through both RHAFT and the Town of Henrietta. In 2020 and 2021, the Kicking Hunger Committee distributed more than 1,800 bags of food to local families through the RHCSD BackPack Program. The race has also allowed for the opening of the Rush-Henrietta School Food Pantry in the Good Shepherd Building on East Henrietta Road. This community resource, which has been opened since November 2020, continues to support local families in need.
PRICING: $20 (Under 17), $25 (All other participants) until May 22nd, 2027 / $30 (All participants) after May 22nd, 2027
IF REGISTERING AFTER MAY 22ND, A LIMITED SELECTION OF T-SHIRTS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT PACKET PICK-UP AND ON RACE MORNING (as long as supplies last)
RACE BAGS, RIBBONS, AND BRACELETS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST 300 REGISTRANTS.
2027 Race Participant Raffle Prize Contributors (List will be continuously updated as race weekend gets closer):
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE RACE RAFFLE TO CLAIM PRIZES. The raffle will be held under the amphitheater in Veterans Memorial park immediately following race awards (approximately 9:45 am).
