    About This Event

    46th Annual Tamarac Turkey Trot 5K Run

    Thursday “Thanksgiving Morning” November 26th, 2026 at 7:30 a.m.

     

    LOCATION

    Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave. (Pine Island Rd.) Tamarac, FL 33321

    I-95 to Cypress Creek Road or Turnpike to Commercial Blvd., west to Pine Island Road, then north 1/2 mile or Sawgrass Expressway to Commercial Blvd., east to Pine Island Road, then north for 1 1/2 miles.

    Parking

    Parking is located behind City Hall until lot is full and in the shopping plaza located on the corner of Pine Island Rd. and McNab. Rd.

     

    TIME

    5K Run Begins at 7:30 a.m.

     

    ENTRY FEES

    Participants will receive a commemorative medal and t-shirt (Shirts are available in youth medium, youth large and adult sizes).

    Registration Fees:

    Early Bird (until October 30th): $30

    Registration (October 31st– November 17th): $35

    Late Registration (November 18th – November 25th or till SELL OUT): $40

    (Registration closes when race sells out)

    RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP

    Packet pick up begins at 6:30 a.m. at Tamarac City Hall.

     

    AGE DIVISIONS

    Male/Female - 9 & under, 10 - 12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 

    50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

     

    AWARDS

    Trophies to first overall three finishers based

    on Gun Time.  Trophies to first, second and third place

    age group winners. Age group winners based on Net Time.  

    Awards will be presented at Tamarac City Hall after the 

    race.

     

     

    T-SHIRTS & FINISHER MEDALS

    Commemorative T-shirts guaranteed to the first 2000 registered. T-shirts or sizes are not 

    guaranteed on day of race. All finishers wearing a race bib will receive a medal.

     

    WATER STATIONS

    Please take advantage of the fluid stations at approximately the first and second mile markers. 

     

    REFRESHMENTS

    There will be a variety of food and refreshments for all race participants following the race.

     

    STROLLERS

    Participants running or walking with strollers, please wait to go through the start line after all the runners go through. 

    MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

    A medical team will be on call.  Staff at each fluid station will be in contact with the medical team. 

    Please inform them if you or any other runner on the course needs assistance.

     

    CHRONO-TRACK TIMING SYSTEM

    Race is on a Chrono-Track Timing System.  Chip is disposable and recyclable.

     

    COURSE

    5K (3.1 miles) - USATF Certified

    Course is flat and fast with many corners through the Woodmont area of Tamarac.

    Race Route: Race starts at 77th St. on Pine Island Road, east on 75th, north on 80th, loops back to Pine Island Road, then south to finish line at City Hall.

     

    Support for the Parks and Recreation Foundation of Tamarac

    Donations will benefit the Parks and Recreation Foundation of Tamarac and will be used to provide funding for youth program grants, scholarships, park equipment and recreation events.  If you would like to make a donation, please indicate the amount while registering.
