Registration opens September 15, 2025 at 12 a.m. EDT. Fees will increase to $20 for students and $40 for adults starting Oct. 15. Beginning Feb. 1, registrations will increase to $25 for students and $45 for adults.

EdfFed’s Race for Education at the Superintendent’s 5K
Join the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation for the 11th annual run/walk and family fun day dedicated to promoting health and wellness in Miami-Dade County. Participants include children, parents and guardians, teachers and administrators representing over 200 M-DCPS schools. Proceeds from 5K race registrations benefit participating schools.
Since 2008, the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation (formerly the Foundation for New Education Initiatives) has brought tens of thousands of families together at the Superintendent’s 5K. In 2025, 242 schools and 7,069 runners and walkers participated in the Superintendent’s 5K. Over the past decade, participation has increased 250%. Awards go to overall male and female runners and runners categorized by age group.
