For race directors
Links and socials
Show your Instagram, Facebook, Run This club, website and any other link as buttons right under the Register button on your event page. Each one shows the real logo and the text you choose, like @yourrace.
Which events have them
Links and socials are for events that use Run This for registration. An event that registers on a different site keeps a single Website box in Basics instead.
Add your links
Open Links & socials
On your event's Edit event page, scroll to More settings and open Links & socials, the first strip in the list. Then click Add links (or Edit links once you have some).Pick a kind of link
Under Add a link, choose Instagram, Facebook, Run This club, Website, Strava, TikTok, YouTube, X or Other link.Type your handle or paste the link
For Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube you can type just your handle (with or without the @) or paste the full link. Facebook takes your page name or a link to a page, group or event. Website, Strava and Other link take a web address.Check the text on the button
Run This fills in the text for you, for example @yourrace for Instagram or your site's address for Website. Type over it to say something else, up to 40 characters.Put them in order and save
Use the up and down arrows to set the order runners see. The preview at the top shows exactly how the buttons will look. Click Save links.
The kinds of links
- Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Strava
- Shown with the platform's own logo in its colors. Links must be on that platform; use Other link for anything else.
- Run This club
- Search for a club by name, or pick one of your own clubs from the list. The button shows the Run This logo and the club's name and opens the club's page on Run This.
- Website
- Your race's own website. One per event. It can't be a registration site, because runners register for this race on Run This.
- Other link
- Any other web address: a sign-up form, a playlist, a shop. It gets a plain link icon.
How they look on your event page
Your links sit right under the Register button as a row of white buttons, each with its logo and text. On a computer they wrap onto more than one line if needed. On a phone they sit in one row that runners swipe sideways, with a soft fade at the edge when there are more to see.
Tracking and click counts
- Every link that leaves Run This carries tags (
utm_source=runthis, plus where the click came from and your event), so visits from your event page show up in your own website and social stats. - Open Links & socials to see how many times each link was clicked. Clicks from you and your co-directors don't count.
- A link to your Run This club stays on Run This and isn't tagged.
Links in your emails
In the email studio, drag the Social links block into an email to show the same links. Pick a look: Follow card, Pills, Icon row, Tiles, List, Big buttons or Dark band. In the block's panel you can leave a link out of that one email or change the words on it; your event page stays the same. The block always uses your current links, so an email you send next month picks up any link you add in the meantime. See Emails for how the email studio works.
What happened to the Website box?
For events that use Run This for registration, your website moved from Basics into Links & socials. If your event already had a website, it shows up there as your first link, and it's still what the Event website link at the top of your page opens.
