Chat with Run This Support
Have a question while you set up or run your race? Message Kelby, who built Run This, without leaving the page you're on. He sees which page and race you're asking about, so you don't have to explain where you are.

- Creating a race: tap the green chat button in the bottom right corner, or Need help? at the top of the page.
- The setup guide: the same green chat button sits in the bottom right corner.
- Your race dashboard: click Chat with Kelby at the bottom of the left menu. On a phone, open the menu first. When the menu is collapsed, it's the chat icon at the bottom.
The chat button only floats on Create a race and the setup guide. On your other dashboard pages it stays in the menu, so it never covers your work. If Kelby replies while you're working, the button pops up in the corner until you read it.
Along with your message, Kelby sees your name and email, the race and page you were on when you wrote (for example, Race admin, Coupons), and the kind of device and browser you were using. That's so he can open the same page and answer without a back and forth. The line above the message box tells you what he'll see.
A picture is often the fastest way to explain a problem. Tap the photo icon beside the message box to add up to four photos or screenshots to a message.

Your number goes only to Run This Support, and the request shows in your chat so you can see it was sent.
The dot on the chat button (and next to Chat with Kelby in the menu) is green when Kelby is online. He usually replies in a few minutes.
When it's gray, he's away, and the chat tells you when he'll be back. Send your message anyway: it's waiting for him, and you'll hear back here and by email. If he's helping someone else, the chat says so rather than promising a quick reply.
- Replies appear in the chat the moment Kelby sends them.
- A red number on the chat button, or next to Chat with Kelby, means a reply is waiting.
- If you haven't read a reply a few minutes after it's sent, we email it to you with an Open the chat button that brings you back to the page you were on. You can also reply to that email.
- If you have Run This notifications turned on, you get one for each reply too.
On Create a race and the setup guide, point at the chat button and click the small X (on a phone, tap the X beside it). It tucks into a slim Help tab on the right edge for the rest of your visit. Tap that tab to bring it back.
