    For race directors

If Run This reviews your listing

Rarely, Run This takes action on an event listing, a club, or a community. Here is what that looks like, what it does and doesn't affect, and how to tell us if we got it wrong.

    Why this happens

Anyone can add an event to Run This, which is what makes the race calendar useful. It also means listings occasionally turn up that promote something that isn't real, duplicate an event already here, or don't meet our guidelines. When we find one, we act on it.

    What can happen

There are three levels, and they escalate. Most listings never see any of them.

    • Removed from discovery. Your event stops appearing in search, the race calendar and our promotional rails. Your link still works and registration is unaffected. This one is quiet: we don't email you, because nothing was taken away from the people you sent there.
    • Registration paused. Your event page stays up, but nobody new can register while we take a look. You'll get an email.
    • Listing removed. Your public event page comes down and registration stops. You'll get an email.

    What keeps working

Your dashboard does. Every one of these actions is about your public listing, not your account, so you keep full access to your roster, your finances, your registrant contact details and your refund tools. That is deliberate: if anyone already registered, you are the person they will contact, and you need to be able to answer them and refund them.

Registrations and payment records are never deleted by a listing review. If your event won't go ahead, refund your registrants from the Registrations page as normal.

    How you'll find out

For a paused or removed listing, we email the lead director and put a banner across the top of every page of that event's dashboard. The banner says what happened and the reason category.

    Clubs and communities

The same thing can happen to a club or community page, and it works the same way: removed from the directory and search, or taken down entirely. There is no middle "paused" step, because a group has no registration to pause.

Your members, posts and settings are never deleted by a review, and you keep full access to your manage page, including the box to write back.

If you think we got it wrong

The banner has a box to write back. Tell us what we're missing: permits, a website, an organizer we can call, anything that shows the event is real and yours. Your message goes to the team that made the decision, along with your listing, so somebody looks again with your side in front of them.

Writing back does not automatically put your event back up. A person reads it and decides. If we were wrong, we lift it and your listing returns to normal: discoverable again, registration open, page back.
