Clubs & communities that pin your race
Clubs and communities on Run This can pin your race to their pages, and their logos then show in a Pinned by section on your event page. You decide whether that section shows, and which clubs and communities keep their pin.
What a pin does
When a club or community pins your race:
- It shows on their page. For a club, that's the Club Events tab, plus the club's website calendar if it has one.
- Their members see your race in their race suggestions.
- Their logo appears in the Pinned by section of your event page, on the website and in the Run This app. Only public clubs and communities are ever shown there.
Hide the Pinned by section
The section shows by default. To hide it:
Open your event's settings
On the website, open your event's Edit event page and expand Other options. In the Run This app, open the Director Dashboard, then Edit event, then Display & privacy.Turn on the switch
Turn on Hide the “Pinned by” section. It saves right away.
This hides the whole section on your event page, on the website and in the app. It doesn't take anyone's pin down, so your race still shows on their pages. Turn the switch off to bring the section back.
Remove a club or community
Under the switch you'll see every public club and community that pinned your race. Choose Remove next to one, then Yes, remove to confirm (Keep pin backs out without changing anything). Removing:
- Takes their pin down, so your race comes off their pinned races and out of your Pinned by section.
- Stops them from pinning your race again. If one of their admins tries, Run This tells them the race's director removed the pin.
- Doesn't send them a notification.
A pin isn't the only way a race gets listed
Restore a removed pin
Removed clubs and communities are listed under Removed (in the app, Removed pins). Choose Restore, then Yes, restore. Their pin comes back exactly as it was, and they can pin and unpin your race as usual again.
